The Electric Distribution System in Moundridge has been owned and operated by the City since 1909 when they first built a generation station and installed power lines. Today the City continues to improve and maintain that system. The Utility department is in the process of converting the original part of town's 2400 volt system to 7200 volt to match the rest of the town to improve system reliability.

The time of year for yard work is here again and with all those zero turn lawn mowers come headaches in the form of damaged utility meters and structures. Please take care when mowing, weed eating and tree trimming around meters and other utility facilities.
