The City of Moundridge launched a new website in June. Now they are working on a companion mobile web app for Android and iPhone users. CivicPlus, the company that created the cities new website (moundridge.com) will build a mobile app that will give everyone the same access to city information.
The website and app provide easy access to the City Calendar; library calendar; meeting agendas; minutes; bill pay services; job postings and information on renting the park shelter houses.
Both applications also enable users to sign up for notifications. With this tool residents can sign up for either e-mail or text notifications of meetings, calendar of events items. You can also sign up for notifications of planned power outages; sewer maintenance; street maintenance and repairs, water maintenance projects and weather alerts.
The goal of creating the new website and mobile app is to make information more accessible to everyone. If everything goes as planned the app should be available online by the end of August.
