Voluntary Camera Registration Program

Thank you for your interest in joining the Moundridge Police Department's voluntary camera registration program!

Registration and participation in this program does not give the Moundridge Police Department access to your camera system, but allows our agency to maintain a database of active camera locations in the event a crime occurs in the area. For example, if a burglary occurs down the street from your property, we would know your camera may have captured an image of a vehicle or suspect that could connect us to the suspects involved in the burglary.

Registration would allow an officer or detective to phone you and ask to review the footage. Registration is voluntary and there is no cost associated with the program.

Participants in the Moundridge Police Camera Registration Program agree to the following terms and conditions:
Any footage containing or related to criminal activity may, with permission of the registrant, be collected by the Moundridge Police Department for use as evidence during any stage of a criminal proceeding.

If necessary, the Moundridge Police Department will contact you directly, using the information provided on this site, to request the appropriate video surveillance footage.

Relevant information from the registrant's system is reserved for official use by the Moundridge Police Department. At times, video or still images from the registrant's system may be provided to the press or distributed on social media to further active investigations. In the event this occurs, no personal or identifying information regarding the owner of the system will be provided or shown.

Under no circumstances shall registrants construe that they are acting as an agent and/or employee of the Moundridge Police Department through the camera registration program.

Under no circumstances shall Moundridge Police Department utilize any information obtained to view footage/feeds directly from cameras owned by registrants.
